The aim and objectives of HLSO training is to equip the candidate with the initial knowledge, understanding and skills required to perform the roles of onshore Helicopter Landing Site Officer (HLSO) safely and effectively.

Who should enrol in this course?

Any person currently working in a Helicopter Landing Site environment who may be involved with the landing and take-off of helicopters on all levels of land operations. This certification will validate their position to control helicopter operations safely.

• Preparation of Certified, Prepared and Unprepared landing sites
• Rescue and Fire Fighting equipment and requirements
• The aspects of meteorological conditions and the importance of accurate offshore weather reporting
• Potential helicopter and landing site hazards
• The landing site crew requirements, including duties and responsibilities during emergency response.
