The Vertiport Safety Training course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of safety procedures and protocols for the operation of vertiports, specifically focusing on the vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft (UA). This course is based on the International Standard ISO 5015-2:2022 Unmanned aircraft systems — Part 2: Operation of vertiports for vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft (UA), which serves as a guide for operating vertiports.  Also referenced is:

  • EASA (PTS-VPT-DSN)
  • FAA CONOPS Urban Air Mobility (UAM)
  • UKCAA CAP 2538

Participants will learn about key safety considerations, emergency procedures, and best practices to ensure the safe and efficient operation of VTOL UAs in vertiports.

 

Course Objectives:
